Tell me why did you run,
you say your so ashamed,
bruised and broken.
Thought if He would figure out
the mess you’ve made,
then he would leave.
But anywhere you are, is never to far away.
There is freedom from your scars,
from the mistakes that you have made. The memory is erased,
and that’s the beauty of grace.
Tell me what is love?
You see this is love,
that He will never hold you too,
the things you may have done.
You say you want new life,
and in His arms, there is mercy.
And anywhere you are is never too far away, there is freedom from your scar, and the mistakes you have made. The memory is erased, and that is the beauty of grace.
Today I was listening to this song, and I thought I would share it with you. It’s by Krystal Meyers, and its called The Beauty of Grace. As I was listening to the lyrics, I was reminded of a verse in Jeremiah 31:34, where God tells us, “For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sins I will remember no more.” This is his promise to us. Try to think of all the times you have sinned (it may be hard to imagine all those times) and then just think that by believing in Christ an Trusting in Him as Lord over our lives and as our Saviour, He PROMISES to forgive us of all those times, and the ones that will come.
We need to hear verses like those for encouragement, because I don’t know about you, but sometimes I look at myself and my evil ways and think there is no way I am going to heaven, but then I read verses like this one and am comforted. But in reading these verses, we also have to remember that even though God forgives us of our sins, does not put us at liberty to live in sin. We should continue to strive for His holiness and perfection. In saying al this I encourage everyone to continue in Gods word, daily. Because you never know what you will find. He gives us those words of comfort, encouragement, guidance, love, exhortations, challenges etc… that we may continue to grow more Christ like. So I leave you with this…
“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ,” 2 Peter 3:18
Hopefully you will share this with not only your christian friends, but also non christian.
